Vinegar Used to Help Control Invasive Species Causing Trouble for Mussels CBC News in Canada reports that the Canadian government is providing more funding into research to control the spread of invasive species that is causing problems for Prince Edward Island's mussel industry. Four species of tunicate are now clinging to mussel lines in some Island bays, making growing and harvesting mussels more difficult and costly. (Note: Tunicates, commonly called sea squirts, are a group of marine animals that spend most of their lives attached to docks, rocks or the underside of boats.)
