Cleaning Paint Brushes
The Tyler Morning Telegraph (Texas) recently ran a King Features Syndicate on hints from Heloise.  In this article, Heloise provides the reader the following tip to clean old paint brushes, "A quick and inexpensive fix would be to fill a jar or coffee can with vinegar and water and soak the brushes for a few hours. They should feel softer and more supple."

Cleaning Chandeliers
Recently, the Washingtonpost.com provided several tips from Heloise, including one using vinegar to clean chandeliers without taking them down.  Heloise offered the following advice,  "...It's as easy as using soft cleaning cloths and glass cleaner or vinegar and water to clean each prism individually. Spray the cloth, not the glass, wipe each piece and then wipe with another dry cloth."

Vinegar as a Moth Deterrent

Recently, Nebraska's North Platte Bulletin (Lincoln County's News Alternative) featured a story about moths, including how to deter them.  Some home remedies were identified, including one using vinegar as follows, "A few home remedies to avoid mosquitoes include drinking two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 20 minutes before going outside. People who use this method claim mosquitoes land on you but don’t bite."
